And I’m not just saying that because it wasn’t heavily dosed with hops or anything. I liked its bready malts and overall earthiness, but I just didn’t like the way the hops melded. That said, it was easy to drink and it was enjoyable ... perhaps just a bit lacking in the personality department. notalush (2678), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 9, 2006 Bottle from beer swap 2.0 - finally got around to trying this - sorry to say that I’m not all that impressed - moderate hop aroma, with some overly sweet, chewing gum smell, almost like juicy fruit (yea, odd, I know) - that quality carries over to the flavor as well, and is rather off-putting - I’ve never been a fan of fuggles hops, and their abundance here is only a negative for me - quite bitter, yet still fairly sweet in the finish, giving it balance, if nothing else. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2006 Small, soapy white head, slightly cloudy, copper/dark golden body...Pleasant, but light aroma, with hops, herbs and minerals. The flavor is decent, but also pretty light for an IPA. The finish is very thin, with a hint of grapefruit, but somewhat even watery. An easy to drink, lighter beer. wheninhell (486), louisville, Kentucky, USA

Pours out a nice deep amber color with a small white head. Aroma is very hoppy, grassy and full of citus. Flavor was very much the same. I found it very pleasant to drink and look forward to drinking more. bu11zeye (5608), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2006 Bottle. Sweet pineapple/orange hops aroma. Clear orange-amber color with small head. Pineapple-orange hops and malt flavor - extremely well blended with neither flavor overwhelming the other. Very nice - one of the best IPAs I’ve had in a while. beerstar (19), Reston, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2006 A very good English style IPA. Malt and hops are present, but do not overtake each other. A bit sweet on the tounge, only for a moment, with a nice bitter finish. Bartender pour me another.
