| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 14, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Honeyed maltiness caresses the underlying haystack within which grows a personable noble hop spicing in this balanced and well-nourished Pilsener.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the hay yellow.
-This may not be crisp enough to be stellar in my book, but it remains a very good malt-laden example of the style.
-It is very drinkable despite its hefty leanings.
-Finishing hop bitterness is appreciable and incites further gulps.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow, very carbonated with bubbles all over the sides of the glass. Rises steadily into an uneven, cotton white head. Aroma is again sweet, much like the lager of this brewery, with hints of citrus fruit. Taste is also a bit sweet, not as dry as I would like from a pilsner. Good amount of hops, but they seem out of place here. Not so much German, but west coast Oregon, making this seem more like a watery IPA. This just doesnt have the qualities of what I think equate to a good pilsener. WillieV (191), Maryland, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 20, 2007 I received this as a gift at RBSG 07, but I’m embarrassed to say I can’t remember from who. There is no other explanation for the low scores besides general dislike of pilsners, no matter how high the quality. And as someone who likes pilsners, this one is excellent. Full aroma with saaz hops, sweet malt, and yeast. Flavor is lightly bitter an fairly well hopped, but there is also malt and considerable yeast. Some very light grass and a little salt. Well carbonated, and a copper color. Outstanding. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Columbia, SC - Green’s Discount Beverage - 12 oz bottle - part of a mixer 6 pack. Murky medium orange pour, fluffy but thin white head. Yeasty aroma with some grassy notes. Flavor is a tad muddled with some yeasty notes, a hint of cake mix sweetness and some doughiness. Mouthfeel is leaning to the thick side. Not the highlight of this brewer thus far. obguthr (1078), Poquoson, Virginia, USA
