Braudog (3461), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apr 26, 2008 Bottle. Poured with an instant tower of decent foamy head, over a light golden beer. The aroma is floral, but quite spring-grassy. It drinks with a decent light malty base, with a flowering bittering agent to finish. It lacks the body of the finer European varietals, but a good option for those looking for a light lager-like beer for mowing the lawn. (#3435, 4/25/2008)
dkachur (631), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle from a dragon pack sampler from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Hazy orange pout with a good sized head. Moderate retention and lacing. Very grainy, almost malty aroma is getting close to a dark lager. Taste has hop bitterness up front, then some grain and grass. Soonah (460), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Jun 23, 2008 From dkachur via trade. Slightly hazy golden color with a scant white head with some active carbonation and spots of lacing. The aroma was malt and grass without the expected Saaz hop bite/spice to it. The flavor was the same. Not much going on in the hop department. The mouthfeel was thin and it was somewhat refreshing, just can’t remember a more uneventful beer. nick76 (1970), Tampa, Florida, USA May 31, 2008 The aroma is piny and grassy with flowers and corn malt. The appearance is deep gold and surprisingly hazed. The flavor is paper like with all the elements from the aroma. The palate is average. Overall not great but not poor quality either. However, it is an odd pilsner. Butters (278), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 19, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy straw color with dissipating white head. Nose of butter. Slight floral hoppiness. Not a great pils, but far from horrible. Very drinkable.
