It enbodies what a porter is meant to, an everything beer. Solid flavor, good body (not too thin) and makes me enjoy sip after sip. blankboy (3250), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Bottle courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a very dark ruby-brown with an average size tan head. Very mild aroma of caramel malt, molasses and chocolate -- some roastness but not very much and the aroma’s too mild. Watery flavour of caramel malt, mild roastness, some chocolate and a light bitter finish. Medium bodied. A decent Porter but it’s a bit too mild and watery. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2006 First from the St. George 6 pack mixer. Very nice with medium body and roasted aroma. Follows through with roasted notes and ever so slight chocolate and caramel flavors. Not too watery but well rounded. Smooth Porter. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Bottle. Another headless brew from St George. Very dark, opaque black, looks like black paint. Strong sweet aroma of roasted malts, hint of chocolate and possible molasses. Flavor is very roasty. Pretty light, watery palate. Flavor is light, but pleasant. Aroma: Chocolate and butterscotch. Very sweet smelling with some roasted malts present.
Appearance: Almost opaque black in appearance. When held up to the light you can actually see a tremendously pretty mahogany red. Little head was the only drawback to the appearance of this brew.
Flavor: A solid porter with a nice balance of roasted and chocolate malts, hops, and carbonation.
Palate: Finishes somewhat dry but the roasted malts linger nicely on the roof of your mouth.
Overall: Well crafted porter that you can enjoy repeatedly. Bravo! biznizness (952), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

I could glady put down a few of these on any given night. If that night was cold and snowy and I was sitting by a warm fire. nimbleprop (936), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Sep 27, 2006 Poured a watery black with brown hues with a thick and creamy white head. Astringent aroma, no hop or roasted aroma to speak of. Flavor of strong roasted malt, oaky and smokey. Finishes with a coffee flavor. As far as porters go, this one isn’t great. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2006 Dark color. Smell of chocolate, coffee, malt and hops. Tastes very waterdown with some hops, coffee, malt, and chocolate. A roasted bitterness at the end that lingers for a little bit. It could be a little richer in flavor.
