Commercial Description:
St. George Porter weaves a complex tapestry of flavors in a black, ruby colored ale. A rich malt base, typical of St. George Ales, results in caramel and chocolate tones, classically balanced with English bittering and aromatic hops.

Dark Brown color with brown head. Dark chocolate aroma and taste with the dark chocolate bitterness. Porters are not my favor style.

Pours a nearly opaque with dark brown hues and a thin ring of tan head. Aroma of sweet caramely malt, some butterscotchy diacetyl and strong roasted notes. Body starts with a light earthy caramel sweetness and spritzy carbonation revealing lots of dark chocolate and some molasses before a more bitter roasty finish. Fairly true to style, but could use a touch more sweetness and body.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown colour with a weak head. Lovely aroma of chocolate and roastedness. Also in the flavour, ends up light and tasty.

Clear dark brown body with thin tan head. Thick raisin malt aroma. A surprisingly dry taste, roasted malt, worth rolling about in the mouth.

From notes: Bottle courtesy of Immy. Pours black with some brown tinges. A bit of lacing. Aroma is very present - thoroughly enjoyable - mainly chocolate roast. A nice presence of butterscotch. Taste is lighter and watered down compared to the great aroma. A bit of bitterness at the end.

Yes, I picked up a Dragon Pack. This one is ver, very dark brown with a small diminishing caramel head. Aroma is earthy, chocolate. Medium bodied, malty, roasted, bitter bite. Disappointing finish though, like flat coke.

A deep amber beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with a quite strong berry presence. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruits, some what stored, leading to a dry end. Not very Porterish, but OK.

Bottle. Clear red brown coloured with a beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of malts, caramel and dried fruits. Flavour of dried fruits and coffee with roasted notes.
