Braudog (3461), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apr 23, 2008 Bottle. Poured with quite a roar of carbonation that quickly turned into a meow. The aroma is quite biscuity, like freshly baked dark bread. Drinks with a full caramel coke, rich and malty, and a kiss of hop at the finish. (#3432, 4/23/2008)
Butters (278), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 22, 2008 Bottle from dragon pack. Pours a clear coppery orange with fair light-tan head. Malty and slightly nutty aroma. A pretty good vienna lager, but I still prefer modelo. MaltDawg (224), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 9, 2008 Off taps at Capital Ale house. Clear copper color with tiny head. Aroma may be vienna style malts but was hard to get in a smoky bar with odors of pickles and perfume wafting by. Fairly hoppy flavor with some yeast fruityness and moderate malt backbone. Reasonably light mouthfeel with moderate arbonation.
Good light drinking beer that might be a good introduction to craft brewed beers. LooseCannon (587), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Apr 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours hazy amber in color with white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light floral hops. Taste malty with dry finish. Kinz (1872), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Apr 17, 2008 At long last, the elusive spring lager that I’ve been missing for years. Deep gold in color, decent head, clear. Aroma was sweet honey accented malts and some floral hops. Flavor matched, definitely pushing on the sweet honey side of the malt world. Hop focused with some balancing noble hops on the finish. Nicely done brew, just a touch sweeter than I like. I would have preferred things to be a bit cleaner.
