Commercial Description:
St. George Summer Ale is our new non-traditional summer seasonal offering. An aggressive late hop character coupled with a medium bodied ale has resulted in a highly-drinkable, thirst-quenching beer. A slight maltiness and perfectly balanced hop bitterness along with it's classic English hop finish makes this the perfect drink for beating the summer heat. This ale is a very pale golden color with a thick creamy white head.

19-Mar-07 (12 oz bottle: Obtained 13-Jul-06 in trade with gputty, thanks Geoff!) This is confused beer. On one hand, it’s distinctly English in style with toasty malts and toffee fully evident. On the other hand, it’s quite hoppy and moderately bitter, thus showing an American influence. Oddly enough, the hops tends to drop out in the finish, leaving a bready malt flavor to close things out. Bread and toffee in the nose. Medium-bodied and acceptably crisp until the finish where the beer falls a bit flat. Low-medium carbonation. Hazy and light-golden in color. Small, off-white head fades to a thin ring. Not one of the better pale ales I’ve tried, but the modest hop bite was good.

hazy copper, whispy white head, nice lace, light malt aroma with a slight spicy character, medium body, light bitter malt flavor, warms up to be a nice ESB with a flavorful long bitter finish, very similar to the golden ale

Not aggressive with a malty backbone and a watered down syrupy flavor. The body is actually pretty decent with this one from the Dragon pack.

Draft at Greenleafe Tavern. Medium gold pour with aroma of pale malt, slight hopcitrus, and slight honey. The flavor was malty, with subdued lemony hopcitrus, and I noted a mild buttery flavor. Decent.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with The_Beer_God (thanks!). Poured a medium and clear amber color with an averaged sized, slightly off white head. Subtle aromas of citrus, fruity (peaches), light grass, and light caramel. Tastes of citrus, light caramel, and lightly herbal. Thinner body.

Suprisingly refreshing with appropriate amount of sourness. Balance with fair hops and malty body. Just about medium body, I could do a couple of these before the lawn is done!
