Pours a deep black with a medium creamy tan head that left nice lacing. Aroma of dark roasted malt, milk chocolate, coffee, toffee, nuts and caramel. Flavor of rich coffee notes, dark chocolate, nuts, toffee, caramel, vanilla, light smoke and roasty malts. Some light alcohol coming through which is surprising for a 7.6% Imp Stout. I guess that could also be some of the hop bitterness coming through. Lots of coffee bitterness as well. I enjoyed this one.

Near black pour, sparse dark tan head. Spicy dark fruit malts, mild sweeter yeast notes, very rich, not much roast. Sweet dark sugary taste, very rich roast and chocolate flavors stay through the finish. A tasty brew.

Courtesy of Sebletitje. Hmm, what is this then. Pours dark brown with thin tan head. The aroma is inviting with rich chocolate and licorice followed by moderate earthiness. The aromatics come together in harmony breaking your will to wait any longer for that first sip. The taste brings in the same characters as noticed in the nose with creamy and yummy dark chocolate some highly roasted malts and a sliver of black licorice. Very nice stuff. I can drink this all night. Good thing Sebastian brought two of these puppies to the tasting.

courtesy of ba trader. Pours deep black, brownish head. Aroma of nice dark fruits. Taste, lots of dark fruits, light roasted, filled with alcohol. Light chocolate malts, with a very faint hoppy presence. Finish has some light chocolate bitterness, and dark fruits. Rich in flavor, full body, abv just seems to be a lot stronger.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is heavy chocolate, black licorice, and slight chicory which intersects with the flavor and balances it out nicely- vanilla and slight maple also make appearances. Taste is heavy chocolate, coffee, and some licorice. Excellent, and (as Saarlander put it) very easy drinking for the style.

A fairly old bottle (maybe 2 yrs?) sent to me by limesmut on BA, mostly because I asked for it. Pours dark brown with a small to medium head. Aroma was coffee, dark malt and bitter chocolate. A bit of dusty yeast. No surprises, but a pretty good drinker.

Pour is black. Nice big brown head that dissolves into a faint ring around the glass. Aroma is buttery milk chocolate and caramel. Flavor is rich and creamy with a coffee bitterness. Smooth palate and pretty good.
