Bottle from the brewery. Pours dark brown, nearly black. Not much of a head. Very rich aroma of raisins and dark fruits. Taste is more of same. Very well balanced. Nice.

Bottle. Fantastic! I love Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout and Rogue Shakespeare Stout and this may just top them both. I live close to St Georges in VA and I hope they have more kegs of this left, so I can get one this week. I didn’t know I could find such a great beer so close to home.

<b?Draft. Holy Moly! INTENSE mega-dark chocolate charred flavor! Bitterness well balanced on this. Black, opaque. Almost smells like burnt chocolate, too. Consistent as it warms. If you are looking for a "WOW!" stout - this is it. Not for the meek. Definitely stands out in my mind when compared to most Imperial Stouts.

Bottle from Immy. Black and oily with no head. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate, and roaste malt. The taste was of dark fruit with semi sweet chocolate notes. light ash dryness in the finish. This is a very good stout.

Bottle courtesy of immy. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Smells of caramel, roasted malt, dark fruit, traces of toffee. Tastes lightly bitter with a nice semi-sweet finish.

12-oz bottle received via trade with immy. Pours opaque with a small, creamy, dark brown head, somewhat diminishing with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, chocolate, coffee), average hops (flowers, perfume), average yeast (leather) with notes of light alcohol, prunes, and figs. Full bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Bottle. Medium brown head with a dark, dark brown color. Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Smokey malt flavor giving way to a dark chocolate and coffee mix. Hint of apple as well. B
