Commercial Description:
We brew the strongly hopped Keller Bier traditionally according to an age-old recipe and then let it mature unbunged in deep vaults. Naturally cloudy; with bottom-fermenting yeast rich in vitamins, this very drinkable beer is frequently enjoyed out of a stein.

Bottle, purchased at Peace Street Market in Raleigh. Pours an attractive clear copper with a thick billowy white head. Flavor starts with bread/grain, then a twinge of lightly sweet caramel, grassy/herbal noble hops provide balancing bitterness and a touch of grass. Medium bodied with a very smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Great lacing and head retention. Just a pleasure to drink.

Pours to a slightly hazy dull cxopper color with medium off-white head that sticks around thru mid-glass and leaves okay lacing. Aroma is muted, but what is there is malty biscuit with just a whiff of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is full and the flavor is a combination of the malty dough and slight hoppy fruit. Finish was well rounded, and of medium duration. Not a bad beer.

Grainy aroma of barley, wheat, beans, and honey, nicely balanced. Dark golden color, medium foamy white head. Metallic flavor with subdued malts. A little watery. Slightly bitter and tinny finish. Not stong, nothing offputting, easily drinkable. Hopless, but with some character.

Bottled: Dark orange, reddish color, off-white foamy head. Fresh, light yeasty flavor. Pleasant, intensive hop flavor, herbal and fruity aroma hop notes. Allready overage, bit milksour.
