| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Old notes from a bottle of one of the first good beers I ever had. Orange/brown with caramel malt aroma. long finish, low carbonation. Had this twice and the second time it seemed much sweeter (and worse). BleacherBum (176), Blowing Rock, North Carolina, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Copper color. Decent head retention. Aroma of must, biscuit and light malt. Flavor is complex for a session beer. Biscuit, mild hops, smoke, funk, a touch of bitterness and just the slightest hint of chocolate. Low carbonation is welcome here. Dry, lingering finish. The maltiness coats the tongue and the dryness cleans it up. The finish lasts until next week. Not every beer needs to be eccentric people: Combine the drinkability of this beer with it’s subtle complexity and we all win. A great post-run beer. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 On draught into a stoneware mug. Color was tough to see, but I’m going with dark amber and a beige head. Looks nice and quaffable, smells malty and a little musty. Mild to serious bitterness, which I found quite nice. Light to medium body, a little watery. Easy drinking yet lots of character. Ingy (100), candler, North Carolina, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 27, 2007 Deep orange amber, cloudy. Fresh sweet orchard fruit aroma, vaguely spicy and musty. Lively sweet fresh pear juiciness up front, clean malt, a little toasty breadiness, and a dry crisp quenching finish. I have not had this style before, and I am officially a big fan! I loved it! jerohen (1614), Bussum, Netherlands
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Orange/brown coloured, lasting brown head. Hops and some caramel malty aroma, some earthy/herbal notes. Toffee sweetness in flavour, which is initially nice but palls on me after awhile. Where’s the bitterness? Wouldn’t drink this one again. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Pours a clear dark amber brown with a sizeable light tan head. Nose is pretty muted. Hops are all that seem to peek out. Flavor is mildly sweet with what seems like a grain-like influence. Feel is okay. Not much really happening there. Drinkable, sure. But for the price? Hell no.
