| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2005 i/2 liter bottle poured a hazy amber with a small, quickly diminishing off white head. Aroma was malty, a bit musty, and smelled like bread. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, yeast, and noble hops with a smooth, pleasently bitter finish. porterhouse (1163), Alna, Maine, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2005 (500 ml bottle) Frothy biege head atop light amber body. Aroma pretty much just malt. Lacing is patchy and foamy. Mouthfeel is round and smooth. Tastes of subdued maltiness with a fairly bitter finish, which was unexpected for a Bavarian lager but maybe not for this style. Not bad overall but actually pretty bland. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2005 Very light aroma. not much to say about maybe just a bit of a grainy tinge to it. Amber/Orange in color with a quickly fading head that starts nice, but compresses to a pinky thin line. Very nice mouthfeel though. First beer I’ve had that was malty, but sharp tasting. has an almost grapefruit soda tingle in the finish. I rather like it. redlight (1498), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2005 Honey aroma. Poured a light amber. Malty flavor, some honey, crisp finish. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2005 Headless, smells nice though. This is a really malty wheat beer. But also seems like an amber with a dry hoppy bite at the end. Perhaps this crossover of flavors is what makes it this style? imdownthepub (5185), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 12, 2005 Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Orangey amber colour with mid white head. Give Wetherspoons their due, they are trying to give choice at the moment. This is a fragrant, slightly sweet, hoppy flavour, a little perfumed with an orange juice note. No cloudiness in ours which was a shame. biomechanic (55), Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 7, 2005 One of the most aromatic beer I ever had. Hoppy + malt flavor; reddish brown color. Tasty but not impressing. SilkTork (4191), Rochester, Kent, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 20/20 | Nov 4, 2005 Cask, JDW, Rochester. A fruity and rounded lager with a generous malty palate. Always with an awareness of the bittering hops this has a good sweet juicy dark malt swallow quickly cleansed by a healthy rub of those bittering hops. Very pleasant ale qualities, though the hops in this concentrated form, are rather one dimensional; though I have a feeling I would get to appreciate them. Interesting.
