Lager hop aroma, bit of earthiness. Hoppy bite as soon as you taste it. Fades a bit towards the end, which is a little disappointing. OK body for a lager CampbellWilson (533), Scotland

Hazy orangey brown with low carbonation and not much head. Splendid hoppy aroma, with toasty, caramelly malt. Medium body with long hoppy finish. Excellent stuff. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2005 Surprisingly tasty - Orange and cloudy, and basically flat. Aroma of red plum jam and toast. Really fruity flavor, with a nice crisp finish. Lot of interesting flavors mingle in here - black pepper, grass, plum, plus some interesting citrusy notes. Tasty brew here and I’d like to try more of this style. pilsnerrogge (1794), Finspång, Sweden

Nice head though. Somewhat smoked aroma. Fruity and flavourful with a nice bitterness. SledgeJr (3003), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Amber in color with a small white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Honey fruity sweetness with a medium bitter finish. Body is lacking and the finish is fairly weak. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Pours a dark amber with almost no head at all. Lots of sediment. Earthy and malty aroma with some fruit and a little spice. Interesting flavor. Very small amount of hops but lots of earthy flavors as well as tobacco and fruit. Almost tastes like a nondescript homebrew. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2005 This beer pours an amber/reddish color with a miniscule white soapy head yet decent enough levels of lacing. The aroma is odd...i’ll give it that. Pineyness, hops, fruit, honey, cinnamon, malt and vinegar in the nose...pretty hard to get a grasp on. The flavor is where everything sort of settles itself out. Medium bodied mouthfeel with noticeable but not overwhelming carbonation. Silky mouthfeel filled with cinnamon, hops, florals, honey, almonds, bread and something like a tangy orange flavored vitamin. VERY dry finish thanks to the honey and spices.....hoppy but not overly so. Little malty effects but enough to make sure the beer is not unbalanced. Hooray for trying a new style! mdi (573), Nebraska, USA

A very nice lager that isn’t afraid to resemble an ale. Yum. Hops come through nicely in this. The more I drink of it, the more I apprecieate its subtle complexity and wonderful balance. A great pub beer.
