Commercial Description:
We brew the strongly hopped Keller Bier traditionally according to an age-old recipe and then let it mature unbunged in deep vaults. Naturally cloudy; with bottom-fermenting yeast rich in vitamins, this very drinkable beer is frequently enjoyed out of a stein.

bottle. sweet, another style! pours an orange-copper body with a persistent small bready white head. aroma is full of bread, caramel malt, mild floral hops, and just a little bit of metallicness. very nice in it’s subtleties though. it’s quite hoppy to start and really grows on you after a few sips (or gulps as it were)...rich bread and toasted malts are the main flavour component. superb balance and eminently quaffable, a great session I could imagine. very nice. I must seek out more of this style!

Sweet malt and fruit aroma, copper, a finger of off-white foam, lovely lace. Flavour has almonds, malt, rye bread, red plums, and mild hum-bugs. Well balanced, complex, medium bodied, bitter, dry and lucious. A most distinctive beer!

Pours a cloudy light amber with a mostly receding white head. Sweet aroma of apples, caramel, and aromatic malt. Taste is bready with toasty malts. Medium-bodied with light carbonation. Slight hop tinge to an overwise mild finish. This beer is tasty and mellow, with great balance. High praises for a lager, quite impressed!

Arrives in usual stone mug. Nice, creamy head, not too big. Aroma is mostly sweetness with some hops. Big hoppy, meaty, sweet taste. Like a really good IPA, giving way to bitterness and more hops. Very good, and very drinkable. An excellent kellerbier. (0.5l stone mug.)

This beer, my 300th rating, also marks the fact that I have sampled all 73 styles of beer, cider, sake, and mead. Any one else done that sooner? Deep hazy mahogany pour with a rich head that disappeared as I picked up the glass. Mostly sweet malt aroma and flavor (hint of sweet dried fruits) with a VERY mild hop bite following in the dry finish. Decent enough, and mildly repeatable, but not particularly exciting...

I am not very familiar with this style but I quite enjoyed this one. The yeast in the bottom made the beer cloudy. The beer nicely balanced the malts and hops presence.

Bouteille, Bella Vino, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

500 mL bottle. Cloudy orange pour with very little head and a decent amount of residual yeast. Aroma has some floral hops, caramel malt, and a little bready yeast. There was also an overall earthiness to the aroma. Rather light on the mouthfeel. Spicy hops hit the front of the palate, followed by caramel malt and a little of that "dried lime" that Mullman picked up. Finish was slightly bitter with some spiciness.
