Commercial Description:
We brew the strongly hopped Keller Bier traditionally according to an age-old recipe and then let it mature unbunged in deep vaults. Naturally cloudy; with bottom-fermenting yeast rich in vitamins, this very drinkable beer is frequently enjoyed out of a stein.

Poured a hazy, medium brown color with almost no head. Fruits & malts in the aroma. Smoooth mouthfeel with sweet malt tastes and hints of dried fruits. Likeable dry, bitter finish. Refreshing brew.

From the Babington Octoberfest at the Wetherspoons in Derby on draught. Light brown European beer served from the Cast in the British style. Fruity & dryish tasting this had a distinct Lager smell to it. And you could defiantly taste the alcohol in the beer (though it’s not all that strong) Served a bit to cold too

Bottle from Beers of Europe. My first Kellerbier. Hazy amber colour with a thin off-white head. Aroma is fruity, hoppy and with some background malts. Taste is hoppy, malty, fruity and some caramel. Dryish with a long bitter finish. Low carbonation, smooth and very drinkable. Great creamy mouthfeel. This is impressive; delicious.

My first Kellerbier. Cheers, (glass is raised) to many more. Hazy apricot. The nose consists of herbal, spicy and fruity hops with a little bit of bready malt in there as well. Hidden is a medicinal cherry sweetness. It smells nice. I read a lot about the style before sampling this beer. Kellerbiers are unfiltered lagers, hoppy, have low carbonation and are similar to a bigger version of a helles lager. This beer definately fits into the description. Raw and earthy. Pretty delicious. Low carbonation. The malt is grainy and has some caramel notes. The hops are fresh, versatile and alive and provide fruity and herbal notes. Hints of woodiness. Low bitterness. Good beer.

(500ml Bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a medium-sized off-white head that rapidly dissipates. Aroma of hops and toasted qualities. Flavor of hops and a hint of a caramel. Long flavor retention. Metallic, bitter, dry palate.

Pours a murky rust with a large white head that fades slowly. Aroma of yeast, tea, and grassy hops. Flavor of tea, grassy and spicy hops, a little sweet malt. This beer is refreshing. Somewhat mild but with enough flavor to be enjoyable and interesting.

This pours a nice copper color but the minimal white head is gone in a flash. Malty aroma with a pleasant hop accompanyment. The flavor is malty with a bit of hop bitterness that doesn’t overpower the sweet malt profile. A tad thin and undercarbonated, but not bad.
