Feb 6, 2009 Bottle. After this bottle I only have one style left to try! Amber pour. Very malty nose with some apple notes. Flavor is bready and malty. This was my first venture to this style and I really enjoyed.

Jan 15, 2009 Bottle. Pour is a smokey orange-ish amber with a finger or so of beige head. Aromas are heavy German malt with a bit of a dusty edge to it and a little bit of a vegetable side. Flavor is a nice mix of dusty malt that tastes a bit like wheat or full grain bread with a touch of spice at the finish... almost a light pepper with some nutty flavors. Fairly nice, even if it is a bit subtle.

Jan 3, 2009 Bottle from Big Lots!. Hazy dark brownish in color. Aroma is somewhat malty with a surprising amount of hops. Flavors is malty and somewhat sweet. Somewhat vegetal. Somewhat hoppy finish.

Dec 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours with a small off-white head and a hazy copper body. Strong aroma that fills the room. Berries right off the top with notes of grain, buck-wheat, caramel and a bit of orange zest. Taste is honey and sour mashed malt, with a bit of wet dog. A bit salty too with a lot of wheat. Light bodied and refreshing though. On the fizzy side.

Dec 30, 2008 Clear amber with a medium beige head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and grainy notes. Flavour was sweet with roasted malt, caramel and mild hops. Finished somewhat bitter.

Dec 25, 2008 500 ml flip top bottle quite good Keller. Light tasting for the dark color. Great Aroma. A bit disappointing initially, but it manages to grow on you as you drink it. Extremely refreshing.
