Aroma is caramel and grain followed by floral and slightly fruity hoppy notes. There is also a slightly buttery note which isn’t entirely pleasant. Fairly full-bodied and malty on the palate with more caramel and a dry finish. I would have preferred this beer if it had been more hoppy and slightly cleaner (without the buttery note); all the same, not a bad beer and in excellent condition for a Wetherspoons.

Beautiful floral herbal nose. Amazingly smooth floral, herbal mouth. Perfectly balanced. Med-body. This is how every Keller beer should be. Amazing. Allen (1434), Switzerland

Fantastic hop profile showing up in both nose and taste balanced by caramel, raisin and candy sugar. (The pine needle component is more prominent in the nose). Mindblowingly pleasant. Grapefruit, dried apricot, biscuity malt and lovely yeast throughout. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Complex. Long dry finish which is reminiscent of grapefruit, rose petals and lavender. The best Zwickel I have ever had. Thanks a lot pivnizub for this gem! rakkasan (87), Bresso, Italy
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 18, 2009 bottle - My first Keller, pours dark hazy amber with a small frothy light tan head, good lacing. Nice malty, nutty aroma with a light hint of caramel, grass and grapefruit undertones. The flavor is also nutty and caramelly, with light hint of grapefruit towards the end, bitter finish (way too much for my taste). Borresteijn (1444), Amsterdam, Netherlands
