DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 15, 2008 Bottle from Capone’s. Pours hazy gold with fizzy of-white head. Nose is earthy sour mashy fruit, some woody peaty funk. Tastes tart, with sour fruit, mild hoppy citrus, and earthy funky yeasty notes. Pretty smooth and complex. Very enjoyable with a sharp cheddar cheese. kkearn (685), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 9, 2008 375mL bottle from Capone’s (Norristown, PA). Labeled 09/2017. Crown finished; not corked as depicted in the the RB picture. Pours amber-golden, with a small off-white head. Initial aroma is tropical fruit, which is joined by citrus, mild tartness, and some wood. Flavor is tarter than the aroma suggested. Lacks complexity; other than moderate tartness and some citrus, there’s not much else going on. Finishes dry with some lingering citrus.
