On tap at Three Floyds served in a tulip. Lightly hazed golden orange pour with a thin head of fading off-white foam. Decent lacing. The aroma was mainly oak with some lemon zest, and a hint of wheat. The flavor was fairly dry and oaky, but with a good amont of residual sweetness. Lemony tart with a moderate sourness. Light-bodied and lightly carbonated. Fairly refreshing and a nice match with the mussels, but far from my favorite gueuze.

Pours slightly cloudy orangish amber with almost no head. The aroma is typical gueuze with a little more sweetness than was present in the Girardin Black Label I had after it. Taste is really quite sour, with a lot of citric and apple present. Pretty good mouthfeel with a long finish. Falls well short of other gueuzes that I had at the tasting, but it was quite nice

On tap at The Verdugo. Aroma is tart, apples, lemon, hay. Strong up-front sourness that fades quickly into barnyard/hay flavors. Nice.

Was a bit unsure as what to expect. The bottle clearly states it is a Lambic but below it says Belgain Ale so I was not sure if it would be a traditional Lambic. Well as sood as the cap was partially off there was no doubt I would be drinking a sour ale. Flat sour apple taste. Just a bit hard to drink.

Sampled on draft at Resurrection Ale House on 12/04/2009. Pours a dark hazy golden amber/orange with dark golden yellow ripe banana hues when held to a light source and a thin fizzy white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Minimal spots of lacing are left behind. Slightly funky aroma with lots of light golden fruit notes from the estery Belgian yeast. Subtle earthy horseblanket, barnyard funk but not too overpowering with a subtle lactic creaminess and a faint trace of alcohol. Slightly puckering up front with a subtle barnyard funk character that is not too overpowering or acidic. Very light with a lot of crisp golden fruit, especially apple and pear and slight earthy tartness. Not overly sour and very quaffable. This is well balanced with a nice blend of lambics making it pretty easy to put down. I drank this very quickly and while it was very refreshing I wished that it was a bit funkier and a lot more sour.

Bottle from Olive tree Market in Ocean Beach. Pours a cloudy, glowing golden orange with a bubbly off white head that left a thin layer of spotty lacing. Nose of musty citrus, cat piss, and some dusty barnyard. Flavor starts with tart citrus and finishes tangy and dry, a decent Gueuze.

Cloudy yellowy orange. Sour, lemony, stoney aroma. Pretty much all of the traditional Gueuze players are present and accounted for, aroma wise. Pretty much the same for flavors, as well. Very acidic, winey and sour, and very drinkable.

Golden orange, thin white head, good lacing. Aroma is acidic, citrus, lemons, leather, sour. Flavour is of lemon citrus, acidic, very dry, musty, tangy. Sour mouth, med/light body, mid carb. Finishes long dry, tart.

Very good for a St. Louis. A step below the top tier but very drinkable none the less.

375ml bottle.
Opened March 2009.
Best before September 2017.
