Slight acidicy in flavour and aroma with a mustiness... sweet nothing horrible but nothing note worthy either... Kåstå (1149), Mol, Belgium
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 27, 2003 Dark blond or light amber coloured beer with a medium off-white head. The aroma is slightly fruity with a relatively mild bitterness. The taste is strikingly sweet for a geuze. I do not like this. I prefer more sourness in a geuze. The sweetness makes it bland, not really my cup of tea. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 28, 2007 Light amber and hazy in colour. Moderate prickly carbonation. Aromas of lemons, wet leather, and wet cedar wood. Very different in the mouth with notes of sticky sweet pale malts, stale hops, plastic, and apple skins. Too sweet and not funky or complex enough. At least it smelled not too bad. Thanks to lubiere for the extra! pineypower (1104), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Tap at Capone’s. Pours out a mostly clear light amber color with a small lacing head that sticks around. Aroma is vinous and rather tart, some notes of citrus. Taste is puckering tart and sour, some wood and some sweetness in there also, ok, but never really came together. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Bottle, Aikmans, St Andrews. Orangey gold with a lacing white head. Nose is strawy and sour, but not all that much of it to be honest. Mouth is malty with a little bit of sourness to make me think yum, but with some fruit, giving it a sweet edge. Not great. probstk (1060), Nepean, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 20, 2008 375 ml bottle from LCBO, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Deep golden, clear(!), minute white head.
Aroma: Light acidic/grassy notes, slightly spicy and peppery, a bit of apple/pear, the tiniest hints of funk, light brown sugar, a bit of bread and yeast, stale apple juice.
Palate: Medium-ish body, soft but fairly full effervescence.
Flav.: Lots of stale apple juice, cherries, apples, pears, and other fruits, a hint of spice, a bit of cardboard, some grain/cereal, a wee bit of yeast, no funk; a bit sweet, lightly tangy, no bitterness, leaves an impression of old apple juice.
A Gueuze this is not! And artificially sweetened?? Since when do beer drinkers watch their calories?? pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2007 Not for Lambic purists...but for those unfamiliar with the genre, this is a good starter ale.
Pours hazey- golden-red with a smallish cap that laces well
Aroma od musty burlap, herbs and sweetness.
Tastes like a well blended gueuze but the sweetness is a tad annoying..it has all the musty-earthy tones and herbal balance from long boil aged hops and the tart dryness of a lambic but the added sweetness seems phony.
No reason to discount this as a serious lambic blend...but it is best suited to turning on your wife or friends to this style.
