A clear Amber/Orange in color with a small white fizzy head. Scent is a combination of rolling over a decayed cedar log in the forest with wood/earth/yeasty tones and cotton candy. Sweet with cedar and some metalic taste. Enough tartness to keep it from being cloying. Perhaps a good intro Gueuze for other novice Gueuze drinkers, as I am.

375ml green corked bottle. Cork date 09-2003. Light amber colour, slight creamy head. Light grape, trace apple aromas. Cidery notes, subdued tartness. Some sugars.

Draft. Sweet, yeasty aromas and a nice, dingy orange color. Fairly mild palate and light sour cherry notes. Good, light carbonation. Plenty of sweet fruit on the finish. Not dry at all or astringent. Gueze isn’t for everyone, but I’ve come to like the style, and this drinkable, mild example is one reason why.

375 ml bottle from the LCBO. i was surprised to find a gueuze available at the lcbo and pick this up with high expectations. pours light amber with a medium white head. aromas are sweet and sour but no real funk that i was hopping for. flavours are ok and moderatly complex. sweet gives way to some sourness leading to a dry finish. ok i guess but not what i was expecting and i hope to try some better gueuze soon.

Bottled. Dark golden colour. Medium, frothy head. Wheaty, sweet, yeasty aroma. Sweet, slightly tart, grapey, lemony and sugary taste. Too sweet, could almost be a faro.

Bottle. Very sweet, light smell of cherry, fruity, sugar, light acidic, smell of champagne. Small white fizzy head, dark orange normal clear body. Started moderate sweet. then it gets moderate acidic, the duration is average. Light to medium body, dry, lively carbonation. Really refreshing beer, nice one for the summer.

Looks alright. Deep gold with a big rocky off white head. All down hill from here. Aroma is mildly skunked. Yeasty and stale wonder bread. Flavour and texture is really boring. Very little acid. Then sweetness shows up in the crummy finish.
