Hazy deep golden colour, frothy soap like head that quickly vanishes. Aroma of apple, coriander and yeast. Tastes like a weak cider without too much overt sweetness. Mellow and slightly earthy on the finish. dhurtubise (568), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 2, 2005 Geueze? Well I guess this is like a macro-version of many other types of beer - made for the masses. It has some pleasant refreshing qualitites but it certainly doesn’t slap you with the assertive sour notes that I love so much. Malty and bubbly, apple cider aromas and grassiness. Overall it was drinkable but not nearly truly geueze-like for me. bozoNZ (507), Christchurch, New Zealand
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Nice rich golden, good head that stays drifting around the glass. Fruit juice and perfume crossed with urine sourness in the aroma - really weird. Sweet mouthfeel, puckering a good way to describe. Citrus sourness almost with a Riesling grapy acidic sweetness feel about it and some bicarb soda. One schizo beer, neither style dominant Slacks (488), Bolton, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2008 375ml Bottle: Pours a clear, pale orange colour, good sized white head that reduced to a thin layer until it was done. A sour aroma, apple and pear cider, white wine, peppery spice. Lots of fruity apple and pear in the flavour, obviously sour, but with significant sugar content. Unlike any gueuze I’ve had, not that I’m an expert, but reminds me of what would happen if you poured apple juice and pear cider into a gueuze. Average. Kalli (480), Falun, Sweden

The sourness of the taste is however balanced by the sweetness of the beer. The sweetness is not to my taste, but needed and I really enjoyed this beer, but I'd never could drink a lot of this stuff.
Re-rate: That amber colour looks pretty flat now, much visible carbonation, still not very exciting to look at.
Tart and sour aroma, not at all bad. Not as sweet, nor as sour, as I'd remember. Actually balances quite well. It is however a bit thin on the palate, which combined with a dusty flavour drags it down a bit.
Now, I'd really like to get my hands on a high rated Geuze!
