Sweet musty hay flavor. Fairly weak. Pretty average for a sweetened (nontraditional) gueuze. JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Brought home from Belgium and aged for an additional year. Pretty weak for a lambic. Some barnyard and very light sourness, much more like a faro than a gueuze. Amber color and loads of sediment in large brown chunks. Some sugar and yeast. ante (2960), Stockholm, Sweden

Amber coloured with some white lacing. Some acidity in aroma with hints of hye and lemon. Taste is too sweet for my liking. Lime, sour candy and some hye is noticed. Too much carbonation. This one was really boring. beerbuzzmontreal (2921), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

The aroma is slightly sour and fruity. The flavor has the same mild sourness and fruits, nothing too wild or authentic in there. The body is light with a dusty texture and soft carbonation. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 9, 2004 Aroma of vinegar, citrus and yeast. Hazy, amber-yellow xoloured with a lasting white head. Taste is tart, a litlle yeasty, some citrus and a little hopbitterness. Decent brew. Glouglouburp (2877), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Apr 3, 2007 Almost clear dark blonde body topped by a white ring of foam. Initial flavour of rotten apple and corn syrup paves the way to an unpleasant dry and sandy finish. What the hell is that sugary sweetness doing in a gueuze. Mouth drying tartness that is so pleasant in real gueuzes is replaced here by a plastic flavour. I did a quick “advanced search” in ratebeer to see where the St-Louis Gueuze ranks in the Lambic-Gueuze category. Seeing it pretty much at the bottom was about as surprising as learning that the dude with the red uniform on a Star Trek away mission is gonna get killed. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 6, 2005 Aroma of mixed fruit, grapes and hops, dark amber, small rocky white head. Taste is musty fruit, and ginger ale? Very light bodied, none of the usual characteristics like sour, tart, acidic, dry ... nothing! Dull. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
