Green bottle, 375 ml, best before 04-2009, purchased at the LCBO, savoured on March 22 2006; eye: copper with a reddish hue, clear, voluminous beige head that falls rapidly to leave a blanket on top of the beer, lacing, good effervescence; nose: lambic, light fruitiness, horse blanket; mouth: surprisingly the expected acidity is barely present, relatively thin, definitely uncommon savours, horse blanket, stale apple, sugar is present throughout the sip, a bit of hops, finale in horse blanket with stale apple, slightly bitter, mildly sweet, medium body, rather carbonated; overall: disappointing FRANÇAIS Bouteille verte, 375 ml, meilleure avant 04-2009, achetée à la LCBO, savourée le 22 mars 2008; œil : cuivrée avec une teinte rougeâtre, claire, mousse blanche abondante qui tombe assez rapidement pour laisser un petit tapis, dentelle, bonne effervescence; nez : lambic, léger fruité, cheval; bouche : curieusement l’acidité tant attendue est à peine présente, relativement mince, définitivement des saveurs non fréquentes, cheval, pomme éventée, sucre est présent tout au long de la gorgée, un peu de houblon, finale en cheval avec de la pomme éventée, très légèrement amère, moyennement sucrée, corps moyen, plutôt carbonatée; en résumé : déçu

[Tasting @ yespr] Clear golden with medium head. Aroma is slight sour with light barnyardy notes and sweet fruits. Flavor is sweet and sour with wood, brett and grapefruit notes. To much sugar really…

Nice rich golden, good head that stays drifting around the glass. Fruit juice and perfume crossed with urine sourness in the aroma - really weird. Sweet mouthfeel, puckering a good way to describe. Citrus sourness almost with a Riesling grapy acidic sweetness feel about it and some bicarb soda. One schizo beer, neither style dominant

Bottle, speelse geweten. Pours golden with a thick head. Sour dusty attic smell. Aroma of fruity esters, apple and peach. Probably because of added sugars. Only slightly sour and too sweet and sticky for a gueuze.

Bottled. In my opinion this was a pale golden one, but who can tell in a dark cellar-pub...!? Kind of sourish-sweet aroma with notes of lemon. Earthy and somewhat acidic or artificial flavor with a dry finish. I think this was quite lame. Was this my third gueuze...?!

Bottled. Hazy golden coloured with fairly high head. Grassy and wheaty aroma. A standard lagerish palate with some plastic notes. Sugary aftertaste.

Bottle, bought @ Belgisk Bryg, Cph.
Pours a beautiful clear orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has lots of citric tartness, good apple notes and a feel of Belgian sugars. Light feel and highly carbonated. Flavour is extremely mild, lightly citric tart. It isn’t sweet as fx chapeau, but just non-existent.
