Jul 1, 2002 Pretty nice, light texture, decent flavour, however its a bit sweeter than i like, bit of earthiness in there but also a bit of candy sugar, decent, but as per says, to sweet to be good.

Mar 6, 2005 Bottled. Dark golden colour. Medium, frothy head. Wheaty, sweet, yeasty aroma. Sweet, slightly tart, grapey, lemony and sugary taste. Too sweet, could almost be a faro.

Feb 1, 2007 250ml bottle, honey gold color, with a frothy white head, leaving laces, sweet soft wild yeasty nose, with a wet oakiness note, faint fruity mustiness, subtle leafiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a mild sweet sharpness character, with gentle acidity, citrus wineyness, hint of greens apples tartness, leading towards a fruity tart and sweet dryness finish.

Oct 7, 2008 Tasted a long time ago, pre ratebeer, so to be fair I’ve marked it as bang in the middle. My notes just tell me it was "An okay gueuze" says it all really!!!!

Apr 24, 2005 Amber in colour, subtle fruity aroma with a hint of skunkiness. Mild fruity taste, sweet finish. Not as good as Mort Subite gueuze which I also tried.

Jul 25, 2005 Updated: Aug 24, 2005Bottle (375ml corked). I can’t say I’ve had a good, *real* Gueuze, so can’t speak definitively. Pours a slightly hazy orange, massive foamy rocky head, very lively to start but quickly flattens - very nice lacing. Aroma quite sour (sour wine), with maltiness, oranges, pineapple, fresh-cut wood resin, and a lot of yeast - it’s a bit bitter on my nose, so I guess hops too. If mine was skunky, I couldn’t pull that odor out above the sourness. Not unpleasant, actually. Flavour is VERY sour, and not in a good way - sour wine, sour milk, sour stale malt, sour mash (grain) - aftertaste of weak expired citrus cocktail. Very flat and acidic mouthfeel, light (thank you!) on palate and not much linger. I was expecting to be challenged based on the taste, but what a let-down. Pass. 10/20 for looks and smell ONLY.
