One man’s meat is another man’s poison. In this case, what is too sweet for some is fine for others. I liked this. It poured a deep ruby red with a pink champagne head. The raspberry aroma was more of a syrup than fresh raspberries but still passable. Sparkly in the mouth and on the syrupy side. Very sweet taste of raspberry jam. Nice summer sipper.

Bottle (Utobeer): Red with a short pink head. Mild berries and dust in the nose. Syrupy sweet flavour, cloying and not balanced.

Bottle (250ml). via trade with Lubiere. Enjoyed in my wife’s bought-in-Bruges Lindemans Framboise flute. Poured slightly hazy pink-ruby with a big foamy-rocky-creamy pinkish-white head. Strong aroma of sweetened fresh ripe raspberries, maybe a bit of sweet white wine - enough tartness to avoid being overpoweringly sweet. Taste is way too sweet - like a raspberry popsicle - lightly fizzy mouthfeel, a bit watery, sticky - this is more of a fruit juice than a beer.

From bottle, drink by 05/2007.

poured ruby red. Nice bubbly pink head. Aroma of sweet raspberries. Flavor the same, raspberries up front giving away to sourness. Good carbonation. Medium bodied, fizzy mouthfeel. Dry finish. Overall it was just raspberries and sourness. Other framboises that I’ve had were a little more complex.

Bottled. Amazingly artificial flavor. Deep read and sickly sweet. Raspberry indeed! Take it away please (at least it’s better than their Kriek).

A strong aroma of raspberries dominates. The color is pinkish with a fizzy pink head. A very sweet palate of raspberries is tasted throughout.

Pours a cherry orange with a thick sustained brown head. Strong strong aroma of raspberries. Strong lively raspberry taste on a weak body. The best way to describe this beer would be to say that it tastes like raspberry jam in a soda. If they kicked the alcohol up to 8-11%, this would make for a very interesting beer, but as it is right now, it’s not very enjoyable.

Frothy red head on a dark cherry body. Raspberry aroma. Sweet raspberry flavor.
