Alright, my wife loves this beer because it’s like raspberry soda. I don’t like this beer for the same reason. Hah only 2.8% alcohol. How am I going to get my wife hammered with that!?! This makes me not like this beer even more. Aroma was like a candy store with raspberry air fresheners. Was that a head or was is just carbonation from the fruit soda. Well just call it a head I guess. I can’t pick out anything but raspberries in the flavor. It tastes like you are drowning in a bag of sugar while someone is shoving raspberries down your throat. I guess my idea of a dessert beer is some Rogue chocolate stout or a nice cold Rochefort. I still have to give it alright marks because the wife doesn’t want me to slam it too bad.

bottle - Pours deep red with a thin, lingering head. The strong raspberry aroma comes wafting out of the bottle the moment the cap is raised. The flavor is very sweet and obviously all about the raspberries. There’s just a little bit of musty lambic funk in the background. It’s mostly buried under all that sugary sweetness. Like many other reviewers, I thought they went overboard with the sugars. So it could have been better, but I still managed to enjoy this dessert beer.

330ml green bottle from The Lighthouse. Pours a murky maroon body with a half inch of light pink head. Smells strongly like raspberry with some malt. Tastes strongly of raspberry - equally sweet and sour - with strong malt undertones. Farily sour and somewhat dry on the finish. Medium bodied with vigorous carbonation. Sweet and juicy, but just complex and sour enough to avoid the whole alco-pop or juicy-juice flavor. Not bad.

25 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden red with a lacing white head. Aroma is distinct raspberry and light sweet. Mild sulphor note. Flavour is sweet and raspberry flavoured with a light acidic note. Lingering sweet and acidic mix with a solid raspberry fruit into the finish.

On draft. Bright red with a big pink head. Sweet berry aromas. Very sweet flavors. Not enough sour for a lambic.

Bottle, Kulminator. Dark brown-red with a pink head. Nose is very sweet raspberry, slightly sour, nice. Mouth is very sweet raspberry, not great. Too overpoweringly sweet.

75 cl. bottle. Dark ruby red with a moussy pink head. Raspberry aroma with a bit of barnyard (?) underneath. Very sweet raspberry jam flavor. A touch of fruit acid tartness and some funk, but mostly cloying and syrupy, like a budget raspberry soda. Reminds me of an alcopop or sparkling shiraz, but more cloying. Mild carbonation with a syrupy mouthfeel. Just too lopsided in sweetness IMO. My first lambic rating.
