St-Nicolas Crémant Sparkling Light Cider

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours a clear, bubbly, incredibly pale yellow-white with no head. Man this stuff is pale, it’s practically white. It looks like Sprite or Club Soda. Aroma: Wha’!? That’s a weird one! Quite mild, musty aroma of apples and white wine along with something(s) I can’t place. Somewhat dry, mild flavour of the same: slightly tart apples and mediocre white wine. Average bodied. It’s just alright, we think this may be an old bottle and if that’s the case then for something so low in alcohol it held up O.K.

Poured very nearly clear (hint of yellow) - with an initial sparkling wine-like fizzy and frothy head, which diminishes immediately and it just sits there, flat and thin, looking like nothing. A very strange, dusty aroma of cheap white wine and vague oxidized apple, with a strong background presence of parsley, of all things! The taste seems mostly to have disappeared - weak apple, vague alcohol, and a little doughy yeast. Incredibly watery body, just a faint vestige of carbonation - frankly this tastes, and likely is, old - it has faded into obscurity.

Very clear almost water. Aroma is very much like a white wine, aroma is grapes with a light apple. Taste is light tart apples, white wine vinegar, sugar, and light floral.

Looks almost like club sode with just the slightest tinge of yellow. Aroma of cheap white wine, and musty apples. The carbonation is crazy, it was spitting in my face while i was smelling it. Flavour is very light apple, with some light floral notes. Leaves a tangy/sour apple flavour in my mouth, meh not bad, not great.
