Brown with a decent head. Raisens and fruit over a not over the top base. Nice but not spectacular.

33cl Bottle. Brown color with beige head and lots of sediments. Thin bodied. Aromas of figs, plums, caramel and raisins. Flavor is sweet dominated by ripe fruit, caramel and some yeast. Moderate bitterness in the finish.

330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Reddy, lightly hazy, brown, with a brief head. Slightly sweet, thin and metallic aroma. Crisp carbonation, retronasals a bit alcoholic, but quite pleasantly grainy. Taste a touch yeasty, fairly richly roasted grains, some liquorice. Bitterness quite biting and potent - leaves a tingle in the mouth, exacerbated by the carbonation certainly. Long finish pleasantly grainy. Initially a bit wanting in a few dimensions, it improves as it warms, and the various components work together synergistically.

Bottled 33cl. Appearance: It pours a hazy nut brown beer with a huge, nicely remaining light beige head. Beautiful lacework. Aroma: The nose is very sweet with hints of caramel, spices (cinnamon and nutmeg), fruits (plums, peaches, raisins and banana), jam tarts, molasses, fennel, carrots and marmite. Yeasty. Flavor and palate: Sweet. Huge amounts of cinnamon, molasses, plums, carrots, fennel and marmite showing up. Yeasty. Medium to full bodied. Low bitterness. Sweet finish with lingering hints of yeast and plums. Overall impression: Very nice with sophisticated spicy, fruity components.

330ml green bottle with a long, thin neck. Bought at Vinmonopolet a long time ago (bb.29.09.09). Medium, off-white head. Deep amber-brown body. Mild malty aroma with a discreet touch of yeast. Flavour of fruit-filled, sweet malts, slightly roasted. Not enough bitterness in the finish to counter all the sweetness. Foamy in the mouth (Tromsø, 21.02.2009).

Bottle 33cl @ [ Tasting in Ulfborg ].
Clear medium red amber color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, brown sugar, moderate yeasty, coriander notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (110708)
