Bottle Conditioned. BBE March 2006. Murky reddish brown beer with floating yeast lumps. Decent level of carbonation - not too fizzy. Darkly fruity and raisin sweet. Not much happening, unless you like raisin sweet beers.

Nice dark redbrown color with quite large fragments floating around. Lasting tan head. A nice fruity aroma with hints of yeast. Quite sweet at first with a more citrus/acidic finish. Funny enough it gets a bit watery at the finish? A good Abbey ale, but far from the best ive tasted...

Bottle pours a plum color with a small head and some lace. The aroma is fruity and slightly yeasty. The flavor is... different. Pretty dry, with some roastiness and lingering sour fruit. The palate is fairly rich. Overall, I really just do not like the way this one behaves.

Wow! This one I really like. Lots of bread in the aroma. Lots of flavor too. Fair price.

An amber beer with a fine head. The aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel and ginger. The flavor is acidic and slightly sweet - it hints of a queze but makes a weird nothing.

Strange sour aroma and flavor. Some slightly alcoholic notes. Something citric and lactic. Almost geuze-like, but lacks the dry feeling from the good geuze. Too sweet there.

Medium creamy tan head. Dark amber body. Aroma is malt and some yeast. Flavor is definately liqourice with a "burnt" twist. Sparkling palate. Sweet aftertaste. Nice.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (molasses, cereal, grain), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The entire St. Paul line disappointed.
