Very fine Tripel with a fruity flavor and nice presentation. A lot of carbonation going on, which I like in a Tripel. gmonroe10 (172), Netherlands Jun 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with sediments. More carbonation than the dubbel. Alcohol well hidden, sweet finish. Flavor is of sweet fruits, not too acidic. Slightly hazy gold, healthy head. Weird dishwater and soap aroma. Citrus too later, then finally sweet ripe fleshy fruits. Pleasant carbonation. Lovely roast, pretty sweet, in some ways cakey. Tingly hops too, but alas a bit of an alcohol kick up the nose. In the mouth it’s certainly pleasant, but it’s perhaps a bit sweet and too alcoholic and they need to sort out the aroma too. With more yeast, it’s even cakier, and pretty drinkable because the alcohol’s better hidden. ska (125), Italy Mar 28, 2009 50cl bottle as St. Laurent Triple, hazy golden colour, medium white head, lots of yeast in suspension, caramel malt and yeast aroma, spices and banana notes, sweet flavor, medium body, sweet finish with spices and hints of alcohol, midway beetween an abbey beer and a weizen mike1977ok (633), Netherlands Feb 19, 2009 Pale, straw colour, thin head.
