| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/20 | Dec 10, 2004 33 cl bottle. The first you notice is the nice looking bottle, with tin foil around the opening. As you pour the beer, you discover that this is the most visual appealing aspect of thes beers. It poors almost clear with an amber color. Unfortunately it was full of brown flakes. I enjoy some yeast sediment in bottle conditioned beer but this looks disgusting. A nice head, that quickly disappears. The aroma is fruity with some acid. The flavour is full of maltyness with only hints of bitterness. The sweetness is not overpowering as in some tripples. Perfect carbonation and mouthfeel for the style. An OK tripple if it was not for the flakes, that propably will put off people not used to bottleconditioned ales. madsberg (4964), Søborg, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 10, 2004 Bottled: Golden coloured. Light dusty. Off white medium sized head. Very yeasty, fruity and slightly sour aroma. Flavour is sweet, yeasty and has light alcahol notes. Is citric. Thin bodied and a quick dead on the palate. Some sourness. Not much power in the flavours, but some mild and boring nuances. Nate (2540), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 27, 2004 Musty aroma, light hops, kind of canvasy, with barnyard. Some sweetness. Golden amber, hazy, with chunky yeast flakes suspended. Thin foamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with some sweetness and medium acidity. Light malts, honey. Some hops in the finish, though weak. After is light sweet and not bitter. Alcohol. Pretty watery overall. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Clear amber color, fine white head. Aroma is fresh and fruity, with peach, apricot in the front. Very bright fruitiness, with only a hint of citrus. Moderate hoppiness on the palate, just a taste, not too much. Smooth taste, light body, extremely easy-drinking. I’d applaud the brew, but for all that it lacks compared to others in the style. Lacks complexity and depth, the spark and liveliness, with a touch of the sweet, that I come to enjoy in a tripel is sorely absent. Perfectly balanced, tasty, and thoroughly enjoyable, otherwise.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 11, 2004 Doesn’t live up to the commercial description, not very firm-bodied at all,
fast fading taste of malt and some citrus.
Most uninteresting triple I’ve tasted so far. skortila (2903), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 26, 2004 Extremely soft triple. Malty aroma with some fruit (oranges or something). Very clear amber-golden coloured with a thin white lasting head. Initial taste is quite sparkling. Taste is of malt, some fruit and spice. A little sharp and alcoholic. Dry mouthfeel. Mwoah, very average uninteresting, one-dimensional brew. Hansen (2269), Randers, Denmark
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 18, 2004 I like all the other "St. Pauls", but this one has nothing special about it. Well, 7.6% alc. gives it some warming feeling, and it looks special with "things" floating in it. But aroma and flavor is either good nor bad.
