Commercial Description:
A top-fermenting golden strong beer of 7.6% ABV, that is very firm-bodied, fruity-dry and assertive. It has a fine hop-aroma (dry-hopping is used) and a splendid apertif bitterness in palate and finish.

I like all the other "St. Pauls", but this one has nothing special about it. Well, 7.6% alc. gives it some warming feeling, and it looks special with "things" floating in it. But aroma and flavor is either good nor bad.

Nice gold-blond beer with a lively caracter and a white fluffy froth. It has fine aroma’s of malts and yeast. It has a full taste of fine malts and hops. The afthertaste is a little dry with a fine hoppy bitterness.

33 cl slender-necked bottle. Served in Duvel tulip. Dark gold with lots of big, floating chunks of sediment. OK head. The aroma is spicy, freshly hopped, and with a slight alcohol presence. The taste is maltier and yeastier than the aroma lets on, and warmly spiced, especially in the finish where the alcohol is noticeable - odd for such a modest-abv triple. It quickly gets a bit cloying. Soft, full, pleasant mouthfeel.

Bottle conditioned. A bit rough when bottle first opened; settles into a confused mash of flavours that never produce anything pleasant. A dry rough bitter finish that thankfully fades quickly.

Had a cola like nose. Rasin datelike taste, however too cloying for me. Medium palate. Labeled as a triple, but not what I would expect as that style. The cloying sweetness turned me off.

Clear yellow in color with a nice looking white head that left some good lacing. Very subtle aroma. Yeasts and slight fruit hint. Not much in the way of taste either. Bitterness and maybe some spices. Not alot going on there. Very water as well. Pass.

Blond color. Very ordinary Belgian Ale, with no surprise, and far from being a Triple.

Bottled. Hazy deep golden. Malt aroma. Sweet and soft. Some citrus, but malt flavour dominates. Not a tripel that grabbed my attention at the end of a festival.
