Commercial Description:
A top-fermenting golden strong beer of 7.6% ABV, that is very firm-bodied, fruity-dry and assertive. It has a fine hop-aroma (dry-hopping is used) and a splendid apertif bitterness in palate and finish.

The color is light golden and hazy with a decent head. There are fruity aromas with candy sugar, some hops, and alcohol. Taste is hops, alcohol, fruits, and sugar.

50cl bottle from Beer World (Largo, FL). Bottle of unknown age purchased on 12/12/08. Pours a dark amber color with a thin head. Little retention or lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, bread, some ripe fruit, honey, and yeast. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, honey, toffee, some slight spice and bread. Generally medium body with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet caramel finish.

Swingtop ceramic bottle. Slightly foggy, golden pour with a huge frothy head. Lots of large chunks of sediment. Aroma of sweet malt, slightly fruity and a touch of hops. Similar flavor, with a pretty dry finish. Pretty thin body. Not nearly as complex as other Tripels, but still a pretty tasty beer.

Bottle of unknown age. Pours with a huge bubbly whitee head and a hazy orange body peppered by large chunks of yeast (and this was the first, and for me, only pour). Aroma of orange marmalade, dried fruits honey and yeast. Taste is yeast and orange. Had problems after the first sip as I don’t like feeling large chunks of yeast going over my tongue and down my throat. Not appealing.

Clear yellow coloured beer with medium white head. Almost no carbonation. Herby and little hoppy aroma. Berby and sprnkling palate. Ending is herby and litlle hoppy.
