Commercial Description:
A top-fermenting golden strong beer of 7.6% ABV, that is very firm-bodied, fruity-dry and assertive. It has a fine hop-aroma (dry-hopping is used) and a splendid apertif bitterness in palate and finish.

[Session @ yespr] Clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is slightly sweet with yeast, alcohol and flower notes. Flavor is fruity and yeasty with orange peel and spices. Ends dry.

Bottle. [Courtesy of BelJohansen, another great session @ yespr] Average creamy white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Aroma of yeast, citrus, spice, caramel, apricot, peach. Over the palate light orange peel, spicy notes come more through. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with light acidic and hint of bitterness. Sweet and spicy lingering finish. Quit nice.

Sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel". I have no idea why this brewery would retire. Our second blind tasting with them (last one was the dubbel) and once again. Dead last. eww. Pours a murky orange with a little off white head. Funky/dirty aroma. Sweat and feet. Maybe even devon’s sweaty feet? Watery bad flavors. This is actually beyond watery, more like airy. LIke you take a gulp of air and for the slightest millisecond you taste orrange and citrus on the tongue and then nothing. Really wtf is this? Terrible, that’s what.

sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel". pours hazy golden w/ white head. nose of b.o., dusty. flavor is awful and extremely short! so short, quick citrus yeast that ends so quickly...for better or worse. soo watery. the worst of the 26 tripels at the blind tasting.

Bottle, 50 cl. (bougth @ Decaigny) Hazy dark golden color, thin white head. Aroma, some hops, malts, yeast. Medium body. Taste = sweet, malts, bit fruity, very little spice, yeast. Very regular blonde.

Bottle odd shaped long neck: Poured a hazy yellow, with a foamy thick cream white head. Aroma is fruit and strong hoppiness. The taste has that metallic hoppy richness to it, finishes dry.

Pours a slightly hazed gold with a minimal creme head. Nose is apple, slight yeast, and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is mild. A bit of yeast influence. Feel is good with carbonation and thicker on the tongue with ingredients. Drinkable, sure. But is this worth the $8.19 I paid for it? No. Way better tripels out there.

Bottled 98: Unclear gold with white head & good lacings. Aroma & taste is light yeasty, fruity & spicy. Sweetness. Very soft, smooth & nice palate. Well aged!!! Great!
