Commercial Description:
A top-fermenting golden strong beer of 7.6% ABV, that is very firm-bodied, fruity-dry and assertive. It has a fine hop-aroma (dry-hopping is used) and a splendid apertif bitterness in palate and finish.

Bottle picekd up at Beers of Europe, 27-04-07. Poured amber with a foggy haze to it. Sweet, malty, yeasty, bit spicey totally unremarkable beer with toffee notes in background, still I quite enjoyed it.

OK head, hazy amber with huge chunks of sediment floating in the beer. The aroma has notes of yeast and coriander, and the flavour has notes of coriander, candy sugar and fruit. The body is thing and the finish is slightly sweet with fruity notes and a light bitterness and in the end notes of fermented apple.

I hate paying for the pseudo ceramic flip top. It almost makes me want to rate the beer lower just for that. Pours rosy peach colored with a thin head. Nice lightly fruity aroma, slightly yeasty with a malt extract note. Quite sweet and flabby in flavor, metallic and oxidized. Hs some juicy citrus flavors mingled with spicy hops. Finishes fast and watery with a dirty note.

Aroma is nutty, sweet malts also. Taste is similar with again a similar serious yeasty bitter finish.

Flip-cap ceramic bottle. Pours a lush and lively cheddar-yellow, with bits of yeast doing the tango within the body. Volcanic head of creamy white emits whisps of citrus and bread, intermixed with a touch of candy. Intricate lacing on the glass forms a nice, fluffy film. The flavor is a sweet copper with a hint of raw bread dough and some coriander. A touch of orange is also apparent on the recesses of the tongue. A very blunt intitial presentation of dusty flavor settles quickly into a spike on the palate. Bizarre aftertaste of orange bread. Just a touch below average.

Lacks the special flavor and texture to make this a really fantastic beer. while there is a definitive presence of fruits and sweet malts, the astringent bitter. Plus the palate is very thin.

The aroma is not bad but I think it is suffering a little. It is dusty with an oak/whiskey element. There is also butterscotch, caramel, and yeast. The appearance is copper/gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma and a little metallic. The palate is thin. This is drinkable but not a great beer. I am glad I got it before it aged any longer.

Orange blonde color, frothy head. Raisin, mago and sherry in the aroma. Sweet flavor with raisin and sherry once again. Seems oxidated.
