Commercial Description:
A top-fermenting golden strong beer of 7.6% ABV, that is very firm-bodied, fruity-dry and assertive. It has a fine hop-aroma (dry-hopping is used) and a splendid apertif bitterness in palate and finish.

Attractive beer. Thin white head with reasonably thick lacing. Light amber in colour, almost apricot, and just a touch cloudy. Mild nose, some spicy malt is the most dominant character, albeit in a subtle manner. Really well balanced flavours; more spicy malt, a touch of alcohol heat. Medium strength finish.

(Bottle) Pours a cloudy amber body with a small white head. Aroma of apple, breadiness, and caramel. Flavor of malt, light fruitness (pear, apple), dry hoppiness, and caramel with a soft mouthfeel.

Attractive 330ml green bottle bought at De Bier Tempel in Bruxelles february 05. Vinous fruitiness aroma. Golden colour. Missing head. Sweet and mild fruity flavour with some yeasty notes. Refreshing, but a bit too sweet.

Hazy golden colour with a large head that fades to leave a thin covering, aroma is sweet and slightly aniseedy? but very nice. Taste is along a similar vein and worthy of an higher overall score.

Bottle. This looked ;like it had been pasteurised, very clear golden blond colour. Aroma is stale, lightly citrusy, with touches of raisin. Quite neutral and sweet and flavour, with a surprisingly dull yeast character, particularly for a Belgian ale. Sweet, stale, mouthfeel. very dissapointing.
