Bottle. Pours a medium brown color with a mid to small head. Aromas are German skunk hops (especially right after the cap is popped) and dunkel smells of dusty grains, wood and wet cardboard. Flavor is a nice blend of nuts, wood, dust and those hops...

Pours a nice clear mahogany with a decent sized, but not very persistent, tan head. Aroma is malty with just a hint of molasses, crisp like a typical lager aroma. Flavor is fairly smooth, malty with some hop bitterness and a subtle undertone of molasses or caramel. Texture is rather smooth, and it does dance a little on the tongue.

Pours mahogany into a shaker. Coca cola head. Dark caramel aromas. Cry and crisp from front to back. Not much in the flavor department but not obtrusive.

Pours a rich brown color with a medium head. Smells of malts, caramel and something else that I cannot quite describe. Very disappointed with taste-nothing like a dark beer should taste--almost bland. Too much carbonation as well.

Deep brown beer with a thick fast fading tan head. Aroma is fairly sweet and toasty. Nice light sweet malty aroma. A lot more character than I expected. Sweet nuts, hazelnuts and a light herbal cocoaish character. Lightly skunky but this fades fairly quickly. Flavour is decent... soft toasted malts, sweet and lightly plummy with a bit of toastiness. Lingering sweetness.
