Bottle. Pours black with half an inch of brown head. Aroma of milk chocolates and some smoke. Flavor of bittersweet chocolates and roastiness... slight smokiness to it, which is very nice. How did I miss this one?

Bottle poured into a trappist glass produced a thick, light brown head with almost black body. Aroma and taste of bittersweet chocolate and molasses with a hoppy finish that lingered on the palate. Wonderfully smooth and creamy with beautiful lacing.

500ml bottle. Thick dark-tan head sits atop a menacing near-black body. Not much light gets through this one. Quite pungent nose; cola-like malt sweetness, lots of nut and woody roastiness, spicy hop in there, leafy with bitter orange marmalade undertones. Oh yeah, body has some good girth about it, thick sticky texture combines with the overall sweetness to quench any roasted astrigency. Carbonation is relatively restrained. Rich body packed with plenty of flavour; mollasses, dark chocolate, medium roast coffee, woody spice, ripe dark fruits, bitter orange, grassy hop. Lengthy finish, good firm bitterness, lingering hop leafiness.

Dark/black with a dense light tan head. Some earthy smells, dark roasted malts. Up front medium bitterness, slightly sour. full bodied, creamy mouthfeel with a bitter long lasting finish. Packaging looks fantastic. Very nice, will buy again.

Poured pitch black with a decent sized tan head that lasted and left some lacing. Heavy dark chocolate aroma, as well as some caramel. Flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, and some caramel. Creamy palate, finished slightly bitter. A very good stout.

Pitch black color with a creamy tan head Aroma with a lot of roasted malt, coffee, liquorice and a splash of whisky. Flavor is roasted malt with coffe, ashes, dark chocolate, some warming alcohol and finally a sweet fruity banana touch. Quite light mouthfeel, you dont have to eat this with a spoon.
