Commercial Description:
Available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
"English Halcyon malts are used together with lager malts. Golding hops provide the bitterness and aroma. The result is a highly distinctive light, golden ale similar in character to a full bodied Czech lager."

I like this beer! A bottle from the LCBO. Large, frothy white head that lasts and has excellent lacing. Nice amber colour. Aroma of moderate malt, flowers, pine and garlic mustard plant. Medium to full mouth feel with soft carbonation. Slightly acidic finishing moderately bitter. Nicely dry and bitter.

This tasted eerily similar to the Organic English Ale. Piney resinous hops that I don’t associate with golden ale. Then a lingering sort of off-ish taste that I could not put my finger on. Not bad but not Golden.

Bottle at my sister’s, source not known. Amber gold with a lacey white head. Strong aroma of fresh malts and orange peel. Tangy fruit flavours with a hint of marmade and some dry hoppiness. Delicate and enjoyable.

The only bad thing I can say about this one is that the aroma was a bit skunky for my liking. But the flavour was wonderful - nicely hopped with a very mild bitterness. Very smooth indeed.

Golden orange color with a small white head, fades fast. Aroma is slightly green, semi skunky and grassy mellow hops. Flavor is light, sweet with faint grassy hops.

Pours almost like a cider. Hard to make any head on this one. The very small head dissipates almost instantly. Smells like a standard pale lager. Nothing really sticks out in the smell besides the malts. The taste is similar. Smooth light mouthfeel. . Was waiting for some flavor but nothing really happened. Carmel/butterscotch notes but veryyyyy smooth Ended dry and pretty simply. Surprised me by being something different then I was expecting. Nothing offensive about this beer. Clean & balanced

50cl bottle poured into a pint glass. Clear copper with nearly no head. Aroma is grassy hops. Flavor is lightly caramel with a lot of hops in the foreground. Finish is very bitter.

Biggish offwhite lasting head. Coppery body. Dusty roasty grainy aroma with bready notes. Sweet roasty grainy taste with dusty caramel notes. Mild mouthfeel. Mid-to-full body. Dry strawy grainy aftertaste with roasty wooden earthy notes. Excellent, and highly drinkable. Delicately balanced, harmonic. (0.5l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)
