Commercial Description:
Brewery conditioned and cold filtered bottle.
A traditional English ale with a light citrus aroma and a delicate ginger taste - a unique and refreshingly different drink.

courtesy of Tony Flükiger - hazy dark orange colour, no foam left; indeed: lemon and ginger in the nose, good malt body, sweet with a late dry bitterness; more lemony and spicy aftertaste - very decent

Medicinal antiseptic champagne odor. Translucent golden color with no head. Tastes more like medicine with hints of lemon zest. Ginger taste kicks in with the finish. Interesting concept that didn’t work.

Had this beer on 5/3/2002. Aroma is like a fresh cut lime. Color is a deep gold with light carbonation and a very light head. Taste is, OH not good. Starting with a medium body goes down with a sharp flavor coming on. Finish is where the bad comes out with a vengeance. It starts with a sharp feel that turns to a harsh and dry ginger taste then this peppery lemon flavor comes up. Overall this is one of the worst beers I’ve ever had. The only good thing about this beer is the drastically misconceiving aroma which make you think going to be a refreshing citrus brew like a light Hefe. I wouldn’t drink this be again even if it were free.

Cask @ Jerusalem Tavern, London. Pours a hazy golden color with no head. Fruity spicy ginger aroma with some hints of lemon. Fruity and slightly sharp ginger flavor with some hints of lemon in the background. Fruity ginger finish.

I tried this from the LCBO around 2005, and although I didn’t really like it, I found it quite interesting. The aroma of ginger was very pleasant, but the taste was so dominated by the ginger that it barely resembled beer.
