Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Summer. Also available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
Light Suffolk malts combine with Hereford and Worcester hops to form a quite magnificent ale, strong and rich in flavour yet light in colour, at its best when served cooled. Brewed with skill and patience at Britain's finest small brewer.

Bottled in Italy. A smooth beer with the warming finish revealing its alcohol strength. Fruity of the prunes in brandy variety. Marzipan/bitter almonds, a nice bitter/sweet balance.

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are toast and biscuit malts with sweet peppery, earthy hops. Flavours are toffee malts wit dry biscuit. Light pine hops follow with more floral, earthy hops on the finish.

500ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with an off-white head. Aroma is a bit gentle aromatic hoppy. Flavor is light malty, some hops and traces of caramel. Strange choice for a summer ale and not completely in balance.

Had this beer on 8/29/2002. Aroma is sweet with a mild scent of skunk ( Green Bottle Beer ). Color is a nice gold with very light carbonation and head. Taste is SMOOKY (What he fuck is wrong with these people don’t they know what a summer brew should be like.). Starting with a medium body it goes down with a rich harsh feel. Finish is soo bad, coming on with a heavy malt flavor like a Scottish Ale, back by a strong smoke taste. Overall I hate it, this may very well be the worst Summer Brew I have ever had. No one in there right mind would call this shit a summer brew, it’s allot more like Fall or Oktoberfest beer, but even at that it is not good.

amber brew with decidedly different tastes working here. malty caramel a bit bitter and a touch of cacao to finish with that bitter. refreshing substantive and clean tasting with good seperation. pretty good... extra points for being different.
