Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Winter. Also available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles.
A deep ruby red strong ale with an excellent balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness. A classic example of a 'winter warmer'; high in alcohol and rich in taste.

Dark black, redue light barely visible through beer, nice beige head. Nose is coffee, heavy malt, hops. Creamy thick mouthfeel. Bitterness lingers.

50cl bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark black color with a massive tan head of two fingers that settles slowly and provides lace on the glass. Aroma is sweet, dark ripe fruit, caramel, toffee, hints of nuts and spice. Flavor is more of roasted malt, coffee, toffee, and faint chocolate notes. Full body with a sweet and bitter finish.

Another delicious St Peters brew--Poured a deep dark black-brown body with a thin tan head. MIld spicy, nutty, chewy, gritty nose. Complex nose of chocolate, toffee, dark fruits, and spices. Finished sweet, bitter, and fruity with a boozy nip to it. Nice beer!

Bottle, poured into a Kapuziner glass. Black with a tan head that doesn’t sticks around for too long. Aroma is anise and chocolate malts. Flavor has a nice burnt anise thing going on along with some mint and fennel. There’s some plum and a mellow earthiness with some coffee. Really a lot of flavors here. I like for an Old Ale that it’s not as sticky sweet as most of the beers of this style I’ve tried. Another English beer I’d love to try on cask.
