May 17, 2002 Really loses in palate points as it was really thin and light. Flavorful, however, with a front end of good malt, toffee, and an initial slightly yeasty burst. Then some good hoppy bitterness. Not enough of any one component, I guess, but I did like it.

Feb 17, 2002 Nowhere near as good as St. Stan’s Red Sky, but a tasty brew nonetheless.... Worth a try, tho it is a bit bitter. Low alcohol taste despite content. Bring a 6 to a party and you’ll look classy without breaking your bankroll.

Feb 8, 2002 Now this is one of the best ’Alts’ I have enjoyed to date. Hoppier than I expected in the aroma Dept. SOme hints of smoke. toasted malt, some nuttiness and substantial bitterness. A crystal clear amber color. As Venom states, this is definitely more enjoyable at cellar temperature. Had in a beer club near a year ago and just found some old notes. How could I forget such a classic?
