Commercial Description:
This traditional American Barleywine style ale is very rich and is intensely malty from generous additions of 7 different malts giving complexity to the palate. This robust ale is balanced by the liberal use of North American hops and aged a minimum of one year making this beer a treat for all the senses.

Sampled at Toronado 2009 Barleywine Festival. Cool name. Pours murky brackish brown with thin tan head. The aroma is muted figs and dates to go along with hints of wood, molasses and vanilla. The taste begins with equal amounts of pine hop bitterness and flavor as well as figs, cherries and dates. Very nice. It ends modestly dry with lingering pine hops and sticky malts.

Draft. Mahogony beer with a tan head. Toffee, malt, and light dreid fruit aroma. Toffee and dark fruit flavor. Medium bodied. Dried fruit, plum, and toffee lingers.
