First off, the color is the lightest for the syle I’ve seen. Second, the heavy malt AND hop aroma straight outta the bottle is a killer. Head dies immediately - quicker than my dogs eat their food. Seriously roasted bitterness. Thinner than I expected. Yet, under it all, good.

Good bitterness that works very well with its mild sweetness stahrman99 (3), San Pedro, California, USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Dec 2, 2001 My favorite. Nose is dominated by the malt, caramel sweet, pleasant as noses go, start is lightly sweet, top is skeletal in feel. Finish is temperate in its carbonation, the hops obliging in their spicy presence with the aftertaste desert dry, a weak and watery, so it won’t garner much favor from me.
