Oct 11, 2002 This is an unusual twist on the alt style, IMHO. It’s an extremely roasty, chocolatey altbier that’s heavy on some nice malt and possesses solid hop balance. Very enjoyable.

Apr 21, 2002 Very interesting twist on a Sweet Stout/Cream Stout style. First off, the color is the lightest for the syle I’ve seen. Second, the heavy malt AND hop aroma straight outta the bottle is a killer. Head dies immediately - quicker than my dogs eat their food. Seriously roasted bitterness. Thinner than I expected. Yet, under it all, good.
