A candy malt nose with a sticky malt flavor. This amber ale overcomes the dominant weakness in the style in that it is not thin and watery. Cartoonkhaki (1150), Brantford, Ontario, Canada

I have never been able to find it in Canada again and that was back in 1995 It was a good strong tasting red beer very enjoyable. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Nov 5, 2002 I really enjoyed this amber! It’s very mild and drinkable - sort of a summer beer as user_ex says. The bitterness doesn’t show up until late in the aftertaste. Nice red color, too. Could be confused with a lager, taste-wise. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 19, 2002 It has a light red hue to it and light head. Formed small white head that left little lace. Initial aroma of hops, then slight malt smell. Lighter beer for a amber/red ale.

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 12, 2002 This is probably one of the better amber ales I’ve had, it’s crisp with mild-medium nose mostly malt. Still not incredibly useful with food except with maybe spicy or dominant food, though I could see this as a summer beer. omhper (12245), Stockholm, Sweden
