Commercial Description:
Whistle Stop Ale is a traditional British Pale Ale. The color is that of golden straw (6.32 SRM). The aroma is brimming with hints of fruit intertwined and balanced with hop assertiveness. The front of the palate is light, round and clean with a dry-freshness on the finish. Whistle Stop is dry hopped with Chinook and Kent Goldings, (32 IBU). 4.0% alcohol by volume. The malts, in addition to pale malt, are wheat, caramel and cara pils.

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Very good full-bodied hop-filled beer. Well-rounded and goes down great

A well-made hoppy ale, with a bushy vine element. Slightly sweet and dusty. Not terribly distinct.

As it spills from the bottle a limpid amber color, the head substantial in size and bubbly in texture, the color off white with a rather patchy bit of lace. Nose is deep sweet malt, fresh and pleasing, even a slight hint of hop floral tones, start is lightly sweet, malt rich with the top skeletal in feel. Finish is mellow in its acidity, the hops adequately spicy, but overall a bit weak and watery, not as full as it once was, and mores the pity.
