Commercial Description:
The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

A very strange beer indeed. Popped the cork and poured an ice cream cone size head with an orange body. Taste was flat and woody. All very interesting... but so what? Must try again to see if it is an acquired taste.

Poured a cloudy dark yellow with a nice creamy head that lasted the entire pint. Really nice, crisp flavor with just a hint of spiciness. Hold the bottle up to the light and see the lovely yeast cultures in suspension. Very cool.

Strana.

Jockeying for top spot on my favourite ever beer. I drink a lot of this stuff, Bottle Shop in Bramhall. One of the reasons I joined ratebeer was to assist in my quest for the perfect beer for me. This is it so far. Lovely and golden with a big white head as pure as snow whites eyeball. Fruity light and gets you away with a mixer. I thought this had me all over it. And vice versa. Great.

Beer pours with golden with a white head. Aroma is of light malt, fruit, spice, and toast. Flavors are of hop, spice, fruit, and even some sour notes. Some alcohol is present in the finish, though not overwhelminly so. Interesting beer, different than others I’ve tried so far.

[Sampled in 2004.] Powerful beer with powerful notes such as MetalHops, alcohol, triplelike style or Duvel, sweetness, clean and dry. Good, but take care and be prepared with food.

Body and head that won’t quit. Kind of woody, slightly musky and vinegary scent, tastes quite sugary, herbal and muted. Not that impressive.
